AR-Powered Remote Support for Field Technicians

We developed a cross-platform Remote Assistance Application to solve a critical challenge: how can experts provide live, hands-on guidance to technicians in remote or hazardous locations? Our solution enables real-time video calls, AR annotations, chat, file sharing, and screen sharing between on-site field workers and remote engineers — all seamlessly integrated into mobile devices and AR smart glasses like Vuzix and Realwear.

The application uses Augmented Reality overlays to allow experts to draw, highlight, and provide visual instructions directly in the technician’s field of view. This hands-free experience drastically reduces miscommunication, especially in noisy environments or complex procedures. The intuitive UI is optimised for mobile, tablet, and smart glasses, ensuring high usability in industrial settings. Additional features like session recording, shared checklists, and media capture enhance traceability and training value.

Built with React Native, WebRTC, Firebase, and native AR SDKs, the app is used in industries like energy, oil and gas, manufacturing, railways, and heavy machinery maintenance.
